Indrajit Roy Choudhury is an international banking strategist, digital transformation leader, author, and financial governance advisor with nearly four decades of experience in banking, financial services, and institutional transformation across Asia and the Middle East.

Over the course of a distinguished career, he has helped financial institutions navigate periods of profound change by combining strategic vision with deep operational expertise. His work spans digital banking, core banking transformation, trade finance modernisation, financial governance, enterprise risk management, operational excellence, and institutional capacity building. He is widely recognised for translating complex strategic objectives into practical, sustainable transformation programmes that strengthen organisational resilience and long-term competitiveness.

Beginning his banking career in India, he developed extensive expertise across banking operations, credit, international banking, trade finance, treasury support, risk management, and technology-enabled process improvement. His ability to combine operational insight with strategic thinking led him to increasingly complex transformation assignments, preparing him for one of the defining chapters of his professional life.

In 2007, Indrajit joined the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) as a Banking Consultant during a pivotal period in Iraq’s economic reconstruction. Working in Baghdad for more than fifteen years, he contributed to the modernisation of one of the country’s most important financial institutions. His work included core banking transformation, digital banking implementation, trade finance modernisation, governance enhancement, operational redesign, and technology integration. Alongside colleagues from Iraq and international partners, he helped build systems and processes that supported TBI’s evolution into a modern, digitally enabled bank serving Iraq’s growing economy.

Today, as Chief Financial Officer of Shandz Company and an independent strategic advisor, Indrajit continues to guide organisations through financial transformation, governance enhancement, digital enablement, and enterprise restructuring. His advisory work focuses on strengthening financial control, improving operating models, enhancing institutional capability, and delivering sustainable business performance.

Throughout his career, Indrajit has collaborated with boards of directors, chief executives, regulators, international financial institutions, and global technology partners to design and execute complex transformation programmes. He is recognised for bridging the gap between business strategy and technology, enabling organisations to modernise while maintaining strong governance and operational resilience.

Indrajit holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from the University of Delhi and was awarded the His Holiness the Pope Scholarship for academic excellence.
